Chaney-Cox Construction was considered and authorized as the best overall evaluated proposal for the demolition, abatement, and renovations for the Temple Annex Renovations project during Commissioners Court of Bell County on Monday. The motion was carried and the project cost for the renovation totals $1,613,500.
Approved for May 20, at 10 a.m. is the Bell county Auction of Surplus property at the old Precinct Barn, 1309 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Killeen.
“At the auction, we have available for auction: furniture, chairs, miscellaneous office supplies, filing cabinets, wall lockers and exercise equipment,” commented Amy James, Assistant Auditor/Purchasing, Bell County. “Cars, vehicles and heavy equipment will be at an auction at a later date.”
County Commissioners also approved the authorization of the purchase of Aruba wireless controllers and wireless access points from Sequel Datasystems Inc. for the county wireless infrastructure. The cost of this purchase is $38,799.84.
The motion was also carried to approve the Audit Engagement Letters with Brockway, Gersbach, Franklin & Niemeier, P.C. This approval is for the Bell County independent audits for the Fiscal Year ending September 30 of this year.
The minutes from last week’s meeting were also approved. The Commissioner’s Court met for a workshop following the meeting.
