Belton residents, Jacy Roemer and her aunt Kathleen Calarco, are owners of a new bar and grill in downtown Belton. Belton Brews Bar and Grill is open and ready to help you quench your thirst. They have a wide selection domestic and import beer, and ciders. They also have Texas craft beer, to include Belgian drafts from Middleton Brewing located in Wimberly, Texas. In August the grill is expected to be open full time and will have pizza and traditional pub food.
“I really liked the downtown feeling I got. We walked around and talked to other merchants and noticed how they support each other’s businesses,” said Roemer. “Downtown Belton is so friendly and so are the business owners.”
Roemer also plans to have live music on the weekends. They also have hopes to get karaoke and form a pool league. She would also like to host a pint night with a featured beer.
“We have remodeled the entire place. We have installed a new bar and totally redone the inside,” said Roemer. “There is now a hostess station when you enter the front, much more inviting.”
Belton Brews Bar and Grill plans to be open until midnight on Sunday through Friday. Saturdays are projected to stay open until 1:00 a.m. The full-service restaurant will stay open until 10:00 p.m., but pub food will be available until closing.
“It is friendly, great new owners. They are family oriented it’s warm and inviting. We already have several couples that are already regular customers. We are going to bring in some local artists for live music. Great location,” said Anjee Locklin, bartender, Belton Brews Bar and Grill. “We’re opening the grill part of the bar and grill on August 1. We have an amazing cook who loves to make everything from scratch. There will be a great selection of food to offer plus homemade desserts.”
Belton Brews Bar and Grill has joined the Downtown Belton Merchants Association. They will also open early on third Saturday’s for the Belton Market Days.
“Come check us out! We are going to have homemade pizza, chicken and waffle slider, burgers, Phillies, BLT’s and a turkey hoagie,” said Roemer.
