The Belton Tiger Athletic Booster Club (BTABC) presented Belton athletic director Bob Shipley and his coaching staff an overall amount of $20,434.00 from the proceeds of the Booster Club Reverse Raffle on April 30.
The money went to fund needs for 17 of the school’s 20 sports. The requests ranged from warm-up suits to partially funding a tennis ball compression machine.
The funds raised also went to pay for Belton Educational Enrichment Foundation scholarships and athletic banquets, which included the newly established Corbett Finney BEEF Memorial Student Trainer Scholarship. That scholarship was presented to recently graduated student trainer/Lady Tiger Softball player Sydney Andrews.
The raffle, the first held by the BTABC in over 20 years, had nearly 300 attendees at the Bell County Expo Center.
The membership drive is in full swing and BTABC is looking for new members. Visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BHSABC/?fref=ts.
