Temple Parks and Recreation presents the 5th Annual Bush’s Spring Chicken 10K Race on Saturday, March 28th at 8:00 a.m. This chip timed event begins and ends at West Temple Park and will take runners on scenic roadways surrounding the park.
“Spring is not officially here just yet, but as the weather turns warmer, what better way is there to enjoy it than by training for a 10K on one of the many trails that Temple has to offer,” said Tracy Klusacek, Athletic Coordinator for Temple Parks and Recreation. “We are very excited to have Bush’s Chicken as the title sponsor once again for this year’s event. Corey Bush and his staff will be on-site race day congratulating participants and serving refreshments at the finish line.”
Pre-registration for this year’s race is $25 and closes on March 23. Race day registration is $30. Dri-Fit shirts are guaranteed to all participants that pre-register by March 8. Medals will be presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as to the top three finishers in each age group.
Those wishing to participate can register at www.racetemple.com. Course maps, mail-in registration forms and additional details can also be found online. For more information about the Bush’s Spring Chicken 10K, please contact Athletic Coordinator Tracy Klusacek at (254) 298-5582.
