CTRG ends 2015 season with convincing 255-170 win over Houston

The Centex Rollergirls ended a successful 2015 season with a 255-170 win over the Houston Roller Derby Brawlers at the Frank Mayborn Civic Center in Temple.

CTRG, the Belton-based Women’s Flat Track Derby Association franchise, jumped out to a 12-0 when Lizzy Misfit started the bout scoring the first points. Zee, JoJo Jitt and Miami Animousity continuously racked up points and CTRG got great blocking from Sin. D. PopHer, April, Boxcar Bambi, Bacon Envy, Mental Case, Rug Rat, Kelli Kapowski and Vicious Cycle.

CTRG grew the lead to 45 points, 83-38. Payo Dues had a successful 14-point jam and Hurricane Jane helped reduce the Centex lead to 15 at 95-80. Lizzy Misfit closed out the half with a 14-point and gave Centex at 51-point halftime lead, 133-84.

Houston tried to keep pace, but Zee, Lizzy Misfit and JoJo Jitt helped push CTRG over the 200-point mark and helped the team coast to the 85-point win.
