The 2016 Cen-Tex Rollergirls season hits the halfway point of their home schedule on Sunday afternoon at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic Center in Temple.
Belton-based CTRG will send its H.O.T. All-Stars team, ranked number 227 in the world by Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, will host Alamo City’s Las Tejanas, ranked 251st in the world, in another great battle between the two franchises located two hours apart.
The bout is a sanctioned WFTDA bout, so the points count in the rankings. The two teams have had close bouts over the past four years and Sunday’s bout appears to be no different. CTRG has participated in a couple of tournaments this season, including Low Down Throw Down back in May.
The doors open at 5 p.m. and the first whistle is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door, $9 for military. Admission is free for ages 10 and under.
Cen-Tex will have a yard sale located at 1102 Garden Green Dr. in Temple on Sat. July 23 beginning at 8 a.m.
