Special to the Journal

Temple Elks Lodge members delivered two hundred and forty-three (243) Christmas packages to two local organizations to make a difference in the lives of children at Christmastime. Project Heartbeat is a program coordinated by B.I.S.D for homeless children in the Belton Schools. Project Angel Tree is a program coordinated by J.A.I.L. Ministry Inc. for children with incarcerated parents.  The Temple Lodge adopted 101 community children for Christmas through the Project Angel Tree and Project Heartbeat, making a difference one child at a time.

The Temple Elks Lodge is a benevolent organization that invests in the community. The local Hoop-Shoot, Scholarships, Youth Drug Awareness Programs and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Children with Special Needs are just a few of the programs Temple Elks support to help children grow-up happy and drug-free. The Elks also take pride in their support of the Texas Elks Children’s Services Camp for Children with Special Needs, prosthetic grants and other children’s services, our veterans, our first responders, and our community. The Temple Elks Lodge #138 hosts events throughout the year to continue impacting lives.
