Morgan's Point Resort's city council approved a budget amendment for upgrades for the pool. All public pools must be handicap accessible and work crews finished the job earlier this year. The city also installed a more modern chemical system that is automated for the MPR pool with a total cost of $9,000 which the council approved with a budget amendment at the Tuesday meeting.
One of the most interesting buildings is the City Office in Yettie Polk Park that houses the City of Belton's finance office. There have been various expansions and many, many changes but part of the current foundation was built to replace a wooden clubhouse on the site in the 1930s.
