The league is designed for players in third through sixth grades. BTYFL coaches wi coordinate with high school coaches in teaching the Belton system. It is younger level football with a "Friday Night Football" feel. All teams will have the Belton Tigers uniform.
The insurance plan that BTYFL has is similar to the plan that the Big 12 Conference has. It is a solid insurance plan with good benefits.
The deadline for sign ups is August 2. The registration fee is $100.00 per player. Participants must live within Belton Independent School District boundaries. If participant is home schooled, documentation of residence address is required.
During the sign up period, there will be a pair of camps for BTYFL participants. The Belton Tigers Football Camp with be held at Tiger Field for Kindergarden through fifth graders will be on June 17, from 8 a.m. to noon. BTYFL Skills Camp will be held on July 27 between 9 to 11 a.m. There will also be a camp for the sixth and seventh grade students August 5-9.
Physicals will be held on July 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and August 9 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Both sessions will be at the Belton Tiger Field House.
The first BTYFL practice will be held on August 12, with the season opener kicking off on September 7. All teams wear the Belton Tigers uniform including the 'B' on the helmet.
Individuals can register online at www.leaguelineup.com/beltontigeryouthfootballleague. From the home page, go to the main menu tab and click on handouts. All returning players must register and annotate team that they belong to, as they will return to their original team.
