On Saturday, the Little River United Methodist Church held their annual Lord’s Acre fall festival.  This celebration included a free children’s carnival, hayride, face painting, dunking booth and bake sale.  The highlight of the early evening’s festivities was the costume contest, for all ages, including pets.
A sit down turkey dinner and live auction was followed by a “trunk or treat” for the children.  The evening concluded with live music and a street dance under the stars.
According to Shanna Bell event coordinator, this event is a fundraiser for the church in addition to being a great deal of fun for the several hundred in attendance.   Bell also added that the carnival events were free thanks to the donors who made the fall festival such a huge success for one of “The friendliest churches in Texas.”
