A semi-private fitness center opened this week in south Temple, and it’s a bit different from your typical gym.

Choices Fitness Studio is a semi-private, by-appointment-only facility and participation is limited to four individuals per hour. Focus is on High Intensity Interval Training, boxing fitness, cardio and strength training.

“We’re definitely a little different,” Choices owner David Stone said Monday. “We’re not focusing on body builders like most gyms do We’re geared more for your average Joe and Jo.”

Choices features a lot of equipment you won’t find in other Temple or Belton gyms, Stone said.

“Some of these machines are so much fun you tend to forget you are working out.”

As part of its Grand Opening special, Choices is offering 10 one-hour workouts supervised by a personal trainer for only $45.

“That’s 10 full hours or training,” he said. “That’s a bargain, and it’s good through July 2018.”

Choices Fitness Studio is located at 4016 S. 31st Street in Temple. It’s at the intersection of 31st and Canyon Creek in the red-brick building that houses ReMax.
