Guild Mortgage company which started out in 1960 has become the leading privately held mortgage company in the United States.
Guild Mortgage specializes in financing first-time home owners, yet they work with experienced homeowners also.
“First time home owners face a long list of problems including, qualifications process, misinformation on the internet, and the need of a professional team to help,” said Samantha Jackson, Loan Officer.
“The economy does affect the buying market, but the market is great right now and it is a perfect time to buy a house,” said Jackson.
“The housing market is not always stable, however, we have closed on 17 homes so far this month,” said Crystal Friemel, Loan Officer.
Guild offers a number of solutions for customers needing assistance with financing problems.
“You don’t have to have perfect credit to qualify for mortgage but we are here to help… we cannot legally give advice on credit issues but a seasoned loan officer knows what moves to make,” said Jackson.
Guild uses Trans Union, Equifax and Experian to evaluate credit. Percentage rates are determined on an individual basis, and are not clear cut. Guild Mortgage of Belton only employs four people which makes this an ideal family environment.
The employees are ecstatic to be part of the Guild family.
“I love working here…the support system is like a family environment,” stated Linden Miller, Transaction Coordinator.
The loan officers of Guild have hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., but “we will stick around until the mission is complete,” said Mariana Rawlins, Loan Officer.
Guild Mortgage works with veterans, and the veteran home loan program.
In order to pre-qualify, applicant must bring in documents as follows: 30 days of pay stubs, two years of W-2 statements, two years income tax returns, any award or pension letters, two most recent account statements, photo identification, DD 214 for military affiliated applicants, and any other information applicant deems necessary.
Guild has been in Belton since December 2015, was in Killeen one year prior to moving to Belton. Guild’s mother office is stationed in San Diego, but the small town of Belton offers enough business for Guild to thrive.
“Guild is a direct seller to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae, which provides more flexible program guidelines,” said Jackson.
“Guild is into building long-term relationships with clients, relationships have to be built,” said Friemel.
