No injuries in Belton fire

Firefighters from the Belton Fire Department extinguished a fire today on a property located in the 100 block of E. 10th Avenue. The fire was in a detached garage that was modified into living quarters. No injuries occurred as a result of the fire, which was limited to the detached garage and a nearby shed. There was no damage to the home on the property.
A preliminary investigation has determined that the fire appears accidental.
The 9-1-1 call came in 2:10 p.m. Belton FD responded with a quint and engine, two ambulances, and a total of 10 firefighters/paramedics.
