Funeral services for Glen Maddux, 86, of Belton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin Childers and Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Holland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home.
Mr. Maddux died Monday, Feb. 13 in a Temple Hospital.
Mr. Maddux was born Nov. 1, 1930 in Holland, the son of Granville and Annie L (Gruening) Maddux. He was a graduate of Holland High School in 1949. He married Mary Ann Jochetz July 15, 1950 in Holland.
He worked for 28 years for Peoples National Bank in Belton and retired in 1988 as vice president. He was a former member of Belton Rotary and served on the Board of Belton Housing Authority. He was a member of the Belton Senior Center.
He was a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church where he has served as deacon, Past Treasurer, served as Junior Boys Sunday school teacher and numerous committees.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Preston Maddux.
Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Maddux of Belton; daughter Pam Couch and husband Bucky of San Marcos, son Ronnie Maddux of San Marcos, one brother Bill Maddux of Whitesboro and one sister Ann Berg of Harker Heights; three grandchildren. Adam Couch and wife Casey, Calli Swindle and husband Josh and Cody Couch all of San Marcos. Great-grandchildren, Christopher Tru Couch, Maddux Jones Couch and Cannon Bragg Couch, Ava Raynn Swindle, Lincoln Ryan Swindle and Levi Austin Swindle.
