Bell County Commissioners met Monday morning for a meeting and passed the motion to approve the issuance of the purchase order of $1,492,987 to HTS Texas for the third module at the Bell County Expo Center. This purchase order will lock-in the total price and secure a production slot.
“It is an 18-week production run if we get it in now. This locks into place our energy conservation plans we have locked in with the Expo for the price we approved,” commented Bob Lane, sales manager, HTS Texas. “We wanted to lock in that third module Bell County is continuing the energy savings plan it had started. This third module is for the Expo center’s expansion and is a very in-depth conservation project.”
Also approved was the considerations of renovations of $30,000 to lease space for accommodations of Justice of the Peace Precinct #2. The leased space will be located at Salado Independent School District Administrative/Civic Center and will also house Constable Precinct #2 operations. This relocation will be able to facilitate better parking and accessibility by the public.
Industrial asphalt and Aggregate and APAC Texas Inc. were approved and awarded four six-month renewals as vendors. Theses vendors are authorized for Dense Graded Hot Mix for the Road and Bridge Department in Bell County.
The county commissioners also approved the minutes from the last meeting on June 14. After the regular meeting, commissioners met for a workshop to discuss further items.
