The Mary Ruth-Briggs Library in Morgan’s Point Resort hosted 29 girls and boys this year in the summer reading program.
Program has a different theme each year. This year the theme was Junior Master Gardeners. The programs each week were conducted by members of the Bell County Master Gardeners led by Gail Koontz who is in charge of the youth programs of the Bell County Master Gardeners.
Some of the crafts presented were making a planter out of newspaper and making newspaper hats. Prizes were awarded for attendance and most minutes read or, in the case of pre-schoolers, having someone read to them.
