Special to the Journal
The 7th annual Senior Expo will be held on Tuesday, September 27, from 8:30 to 12:00 at the Bell County Expo.
This year’s theme will be Story Time and Nursery Rhymes.
Our vendors are encouraged to dress up and decorate their booths.
Music will be provided by LaRon Tubbs upon entering the venue.
There will also be a Wellness Center with free health and hearing checks.
The Senior Expo is held annually at the Bell County Expo Center and is free and open to the public. The Expo is designed to showcase how businesses, organizations and activities in the Central Texas area make our community a “Senior Friendly” place to live.
With more than 90 vendors, participants can pick up information on nutrition and fitness, housing, financial planning, pharmaceuticals, volunteer opportunities, hobbies, leisure activities, receive free health screenings, learn about different retirement communities, nursing and rehab facilities, Medicare, Medicaid and receive help with making end of life arrangements. The no pressure, fun-filled day also features entertainment and drawings for door prizes.
Golf carts will be available in the parking lot to pick attendees up and take to the front entrance.
