Texas Teen Age Baseball districts start Monday

From the Sophomore Division to the T-Ballers, there are several Belton Youth Baseball Association teams that are ready for the 2015 Texas Teen Age Baseball district playoffs.

In the Sophomore Division, the Belton Rockies and Belton Reds will join a five-team District 4 bracket that includes the Cameron Nationals, the Rogers Eagles and the Lampasas Yellow Jackets. The action starts at Jaycee Field on Monday. The district winner will punch their ticket to the 10-team TTAB 14U State Tournament in Harker Heights starting July 20.

The 12U Open Base TTAB District 5 playoffs open on Monday evening at Heritage Park. The Belton Mets, Belton Tigers, Belton Astros and Belton Nationals will take on the Cameron Indians, Cameron Mariners, Copperas Cove Astros, Copperas Cove Cardinals and the Lampasas Rangers. The district winner will punch their ticket to the 12U TTAB State Tournament in Hillsboro starting July 20.

BYBA’s Machine Pitch Division will be well represented at the 8U Machine Pitch TTAB District 8 playoffs in Rogers on Monday. The Belton Aces, Belton Indians, Belton Bucks, Belton Tar Heels, Belton Knights and Belton Jayhawks will face a field with the Rogers Marlins and Rogers Bombers, with a trip to Mineola and the 8U Machine Pitch TTAB State Tournament on the line starting July 20.

Belton Youth Softball Association will host the TTAB District 9 Machine Pitch Tournament at Chisholm Trail Park starting Monday. The Copperas Cove Redsox, Copperas Cove Cardinals, Copperas Cove Astros, Copperas Cove Phillies, Harker Heights Bees, Harker Heights Scrappers, Harker Heights Iron Pigs, Harker Heights Timber Rattlers, Lampasas Lil Amigos and Lampasas Rattlers are all vying for a spot to also go to Mineola.

BYBA T-Ball teams will gear up to host the 6U T-Ball TTAB District 3 Tournament at Heritage Park on Monday evening. The Belton Sun Devils, Belton Hot Rods, Belton Lake Monsters, Belton Bees, Belton Riverdawgs and Belton Scrappers will host the Lampasas Lil Monsters and Lampasas Scrappers with a trip to Emory for the 6U TTAB State T-Ball Tournament starting July 20 in Emory.

The Belton Bears, Belton Padres, Belton Cowboys and Belton Rangers will get plenty of practice time in wait for the commencement of the inaugural TTAB 10U Open Base Tournament, starting July 20 at Heritage Park.
