The Belton Tigers Golf program played a couple of solid tournaments, giving their Tiger TWO and Tiger FOUR flights some tournament experience.
Tiger TWO finished fourth at the Hutto ISD Tournament at Star Ranch last week, carding a team score of 325. Westwood took the title with a team-low 311. Round Rock finished second (314) and Hutto finished third (324).
Robert Arnold had the low score for the Tigers, carding a 78. Landdon Squiers and Wyatt Weir each shot 81, Hank Payne shot 85 and Austin Hughling shot 93.
Tiger TWO finished one shot behind the Round Rock Dragons I flight in the inaugural Shrimp Invitational in Round Rock, with a score of 322/
Tiger FOUR finished with a 343, good for third place overall.
Chris Abernathy, the individual champion, led Tiger TWO with a score of 77. Weir shot an 80 for a third-place tie overall, Preston Pratt shot an 82 for a seventh-place tie, Squiers carded an 83 for a 10th-place tie and Nathaniel Woods shot a 90 to round out the Tiger TWO flight.
Payne, Ty Sanderford and Bryan Cathey each shot 84 for Tiger FOUR. Jayden Weaver shot a 91 and Tyler Vincent shot a 98 to round out the scoring for Tiger FOUR.
