University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women’s golfer McKenzie Ralston earned an at-large individual bid to the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championships announced Monday, May 4th. Ralston was one of six individuals selected for this year’s event and the first individual qualifier in program history. The 2015 NCAA Division III National Championships will be played at Mission Inn in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida on May 12th-15th.

Ralston, a senior from Temple, Texas (Temple H.S.), posted a team-leading 75.40 stroke average this season with top-ten finishes in all ten tournaments. Ralston took individual titles at five tournaments this season. Her 2015 American Southwest Conference Individual Title was her second consecutive individual win at the ASC Championships and made her the second UMHB golfer to win back-to-back individual titles. Ralston posted top-three finishes in nine tournaments this season and shot the lowest three rounds in program history at the UHV Fall Classic (69-69-68=206). She shot six rounds of par or better in 2014-15 and set new school records in individual wins and national rating.

An All-American last season, Ralston finished second at the 2014 NCAA Division III National Championship, carding a 77-79-72-77=305 in her first national tournament appearance for the Cru. She was also the only golfer to fire a round of par or better in the tournament with a third-round score of 72. Ralston will join the University of Texas at Tyler as American Southwest Conference representatives in the tournament.
