Special to the Journal
University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletic video coordinator David Twilleager has been named NCAA Division III Video Coordinator of the Year by the College Sports Video Association. Those awards will be presented during the CSVA’s national convention in Arizona in May.
Twilleager is in his sixth year as UMHB’s athletic department video coordinator after taking over those duties full-time in January of 2010 and he handles video needs for all 12 of the Cru’s varsity athletic programs. He is responsible for all coaches video (game and practice), video streaming of live athletic events, highlight videos and the athletic department’s YouTube channel. This is his first CSVA Video Coordinator of the Year award and the third overall won by the UMHB video department. The CSVA recognizes National Video Coordinator of the Year honors for each NCAA Division and also presents a conference Video Coordinator of the Year for NCAA Division I conferences. The Video Coordinator of the Year honors for NCAA Division III are selected in balloting of the CSVA Executive Board.
“It came as a big surprise and it is a huge honor,” Twilleager said, “It is very humbling and means so much to me. It is even more special because this is voted on by peers and they recognize the work that we’ve been able to do here at UMHB.”
Twilleager is a 2008 graduate of UMHB and earned his Master’s Degree from UMHB in 2009. He and his wife, Sarah, have two children.
