The 2015 Belton Lady Tigers volleyball team was 22-17 overall and 7-5 in District 12-6A. They returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

Although they bowed out in the first round to a very talented Rockwall squad, the season was a success.

Postseason honors were handed out last Thursday and Belton’s Allison Waits was awarded District 12-6A’s Most Valuable Blocker.

Waits, who inked her letter of intent to play volleyball at the University of Incarnate Word last week, was instrumental to the success of the Lady Tigers in 2015. She had 295 kills, 60 percent kill success and 143 blocks. She had the ability to take over games and make the opponent’s stop in their tracks.
