The Belton Chamber of Commerce held it’s 21st Annual Fall Golf Classic on Monday afternoon at the Wildflower Country Club.
112 golfers took to the course to help raise money for the Military Family Relations Committee of the Belton Chamber, which part of the proceeds from the tournament went towards. The committee helps support military families and acts as a support network for Fort Hood.
“There was fun for everyone,” said Mark Arrazola, “The event raised a good amount for the committee. The committee really focuses on service members and military families and acts as a support network.”
Prizes were given out for random placement in the event. The Schoepf’s Bar-B-Que Team won first place. The Encore Team won a prize for finishing in seventh place. The UMHB Staff team won a prize for a 15th place finish.
The golf packages included a goodie bag, greens fees and cart, range balls, lunch and provided a host of networking opportunities.
The event was presented by ASCO and Progressive Waste Solutions. Schoepf’s, Michelob Ultra, PaperGraphics Printing, Don Ringler Chevrolet-Toyota, United Rentals and Color Visual Concepts were also sponsors for the tournament.
“Because of our sponsors, the community and the volunteers, the tournament was a success,” said Arrazola. “It was a wonderful event.”
