Belton native, Kirk Baxley, is set to release his highly anticipated new album, “Southern Son”, July 30, 2013. This 6-song EP showcases Baxley’s signature alt-Country sound that has been wowing crowds across the country as he has toured non-stop for the past two years.
Having tremendous success as a national touring artist, this highly anticipated album will be his second release since his departure from Rock and into Country. His first release, the critically acclaimed, “Cold as a Stone”, helped open doors for Baxley to not only tour nationally, but also led to high profile performances in New York’s Time Square and in New Orleans around Super Bowl XLVII.
Since returning home to Central Texas to record “Southern Son”, Baxley has been embraced by the local music community and has developed a strong local following. As a result he has chosen to premiere the new album in his hometown with a live event to commemorate the release.
Baxley will be celebrating the release of his new album and performing material from it at the “Southern Son Album Release Party”.
The “Southern Son Album Release Party” will be held at Arusha’s Coffee Shop on Tues., July 30, at 7:30 p.m.
Arusha’s Coffee Shop is located in downtown Belton and the event is open to the public. For more information about the event please visit www.kirkbaxley.com.
