The Lady Broncos remained unbeaten Tuesday evening, traveling to Killeen, where they easily earned a four-inning, 24-0 victory.

Lake Belton took immediate control of the contest with an 11-run outburst in the top of the first inning, and the Lady Broncos followed with three runs in the second inning and four in the third inning.

In total, Lake Belton produced 17 hits, including Casey Schultz’s home run, while Shelby Schultz and Natalie Hosch combined for a perfect pitching performance.

Although the outing was impressive, the Lady Broncos only needed three innings to defeat Waco last week.

Haley Hoffman had two hits in two at bats highlighted by a home run, and she finished with 5RBIs to lead Lake Belton, while teammate Madison Perkins was 2 for 2 with a run scored, and Victoria Shimabukuro was 1 for 1 with three runs scored.

Furthermore, Madison Naser had three RBIs.

On the mound, Shelby Schultz struck out six batters in two innings before Hosch collected a trio of strikeouts to conclude the contest.

Now, the Lady Broncos turn their attention toward Friday’s home encounter against Killeen Ellison.

Then, Lake Belton’s final three games of the regular season will be at Killeen Shoemaker on Tuesday, versus visiting Killeen Chaparral (April 12) and at Waco University (April 16).

The Lady Broncos enter the home stretch of the schedule with an overall record of 26-3 and a 10-0 showing in District 22-5A.

Shoemaker follows at 9-1, while Belton (7-3), Waco University (6-4), Chaparral (4-6), Killeen (3-7), Ellison (1-9) and Waco (0-10) follow.
