Taylor Tubbs and Madison Cotton combined for nine strikeouts and allowed just two hits over four innings in the circle, as Belton scored three times in the first inning en route to a 10-0, four inning win at Killeen Ellison Friday afternoon.
The first inning was highlighted by a two-run double by Izzy Gutierrez, who then scored on a single by Karsyn Baird to give Belton a 3-0 lead.
Alexis Maybee doubled to start the third inning and Tubbs drove her in with a double to increase the lead to four. After advancing to third on an obstruction call, Tubbs scored on a wild pitch to give Belton a 5-0 lead.
In the fourth inning, the Tigers maxed out at the five-run limit. Ashley Alcozer singled and advanced to third on an error. Then five consecutive doubles by Maybee, Tubbs, Gutierrez, Baird and Madison Sniggs helped Belton max out at the run limit with no outs.
Tubbs worked the first two innings, allowed a single and struck out six. Cotton took over in the third inning, struck out the side in the third inning, allowed a leadoff single and sacrifice bunt before fanning the last two Lady Eagle hitters.
Tubbs scored three runs, while Maybee and Gutierrez each scored two. Belton had eight doubles in four innings to pace the offense.

Taylor Tubbs went four innings and the Belton offense pounded the Pantherettes pitching in the third inning for four runs to outlast Waco Midway 5-1 at Lady Tiger Field Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action at 5 p.m. Thursday as they travel to Harker Heights.
