Mary Louise Huckabee, 95, of Belton, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Temple. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.
Mary was born on June 10, 1929, in Westphalia, Texas to Otto and Marie “Rector” Gottschalk. She attended schools in Westphalia and graduated from Lott High School in 1946. Mary loved spending quality time with her family, preparing for the holidays and shopping.
Preceding her in death, are her parents; and her husband of 40 years, Robert Huckabee.
Survivors include her son, Michael Huckabee and wife, Mary Ann of Belton, TX; daughter, Cathy Huckabee of Belton, TX; brother, Fred Gottschalk and wife, Pat of Llano, TX; grandkids, Katelin Drumm and husband, Jacob of Temple, TX, Kelly Huckabee of Belton, TX, Brandon Huckabee of Belton, TX; and two great grandchildren, Winston and Woodrow Drumm of Temple, TX.
A time of visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 6-7 pm with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton.
