The student will also be highlighted over the BHS football radio broadcast, receive  a plaque from Cumulus Radio Station. BHS may nominate 10 recipients.
Counselor Kim Vaughn had this to say about  Kayla Sohns:
“Kayla has been involved in Harmony Choir for two years, National Honor Society, she remain’s in the top 2 percent of her class, and she was the Superintendent’s scholar last year based on her PSAT scores.
Kayla Sohns is a high achieving student at BHS. Not only does she excel academically, she stays busy in Harmony Choir and participates in school plays. In her spare time, Kayla volunteers at the Lena Armstrong Library. What sets Kayla apart from her peers is her attitude. She is always willing to help her peers when needed. Kayla also has the most positive attitude of anyone I know. I have known her for two years now and have never seen her be negative in any way to an adult or peer. She takes on challenges in the same positive manner. Her attitude toward everything in life is one to be admired.”
