Christmas in Belton is a festive time of year! Leading up to the holiday, the Beltonian Theatre hosted a spectacular meet-and-greet with Santa Claus himself. The event took place from December 20-23 and lasted from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. During this time, people were able to visit and take as many photographs with Santa as they pleased. Along with Santa, It’s a Wonderful Life was the feature film. This particular movie was chosen specifically for families to gather and witness the 1946 Christmas classic together.
“I love providing neat shows and events for families to just have fun and relax,” said Zechariah Baker, owner of the Beltonian Theatre. “The idea of letting children meet Santa is just another way to provide that for families here in Belton.”
“A perception of Belton’s movie-goers and an idea of how we can greater provide family-friendly experiences have brought us to creating this event,” said Branson Hinds, the assistant general manager who played a vital role in Santa’s appearance. “We see the other places where Santas are quite costly and decided this was a great opportunity for parents and their children to see him for free!”
Smiles were plentiful as children sat on Santa’s lap and told him of their Christmas wishes.
This holiday season has been enhanced greatly by the Beltonian Theatre and its staff. Their innovative, enjoyable flare is a wonderful addition to the city of Belton.
