Patricia “Patti” Jones, age 77 passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Crawford, Texas. Graveside services will be held at her final resting place, Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Crawford Cemetery, Crawford, Texas. Patti was a long-time and proud resident of Crawford.
Patti was born on July 21, 1947, to Walter and Gwen Roberts in Temple, Texas. Patti, loved her roots in Temple, and graduated from Temple High School in 1965. Patti then moved on to Mary Hardin-Baylor, now the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she graduated early from the school of education. Patti substitute taught and was hired by Belton ISD where she served hundreds of children and their learning for over 30 years. Patti taught at all grade levels, but she loved the second graders most. She was a lifelong resident of Central Texas.
Patti is preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Robert “Bobby” Jones, her revered father Walter Roberts, her rock Grandmother Mable May Roberts, and many other extended family members by blood and by love who she held close to her heart.
Survivors include her daughter, Rhea Brooks Bell, son in law, Robert Bell, granddaughter, Savannah Bell Grandusky, her brother, Walter Andrew Roberts IV, and his wife, Joan Roberts, and many family members and many family members and friends who she loved beyond words.
