January 30, 1961 – November 28, 2024

Steven Von Wood of Little River – Academy passed away at home on November 28th, 2024, at 63 years of age.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at Dossman Funeral Home, Belton, Texas

Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Taylor Valley Baptist Church, Temple, Texas

Steven was born on January 30th, 1961, in Nowata, Oklahoma to Jerold Don & Charlotte Virginia Lang Wood.  He then moved to Temple, TX where he got his associate’s in business from Temple College while working in the warehouse at McLane’s. He graduated with honors and then proceeded to work as a buyer at McLane’s for a total of 43 years.

Steven was an active member at Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church, where he served and worshiped, especially helping with the food pantry and the youth. He was also involved in several Bible study groups.  Steven was devoted to his children, family, church, and loved giving back to the community serving in various organizations such as CASA, Feed My Sheep, Central TX Food Bank, and Love of Christ.

Steven is survived by his son Chase Wood, daughters, Hanna and Zoey Wood. Stepmother Phyllis Wood, brother Don and wife JoAnn, sister Julie and husband Gary Lanham, stepbrother Mike Pierce, stepsister Crystal Pierce. Two aunts and several cousins.  One niece, four nephews, and lots of great nieces and nephews.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Jerold Wood, Charlotte (Ginger) Frazer and Charles Frazer.
